Hi… it’s been a while since I’ve posted! I think I just needed a bit of a break as you do sometimes. My boyfriend and I went on holiday to France and had the most amazing time. These last few weeks I’ve just been focusing on work, my relationships and having a rest from writing. For the last year or so I have predominantly written about restaurants with the odd fitness post. However when I think about my writing I always loved my fitness based posts the most. So, I’ve decided to have a little break from reviewing food for the time being.
Over the next few months I want to really focus on healthy living and fitness. This is something that I have always been very interested in and I have loved writing about. I have followed Joe Wicks on Instagram for a while now and one day I decided that I wanted to try The Body Coach 90 day SSS plan.
I am not normally a fan of paying lots of money for ‘diet plans’. However, I feel as though Joe’s plan is realistic and attainable. I would love to know if I can stick to it and see what results I can achieve! I also feel ready for a challenge.
Whilst I don’t have lots of weight to lose, I would love to tone up a bit more. I have put on a little bit of weight over the past few months due to eating out more and drinking. I think one of the main things though that attracts me about The Body Coach plan is the idea of eating more. I find it difficult to get away from the mindset that you need to eat less to lose weight and stay slim. I am hoping that the 90 day plan will help get me used to eating more of the right things. Whilst I do think I eat relatively healthy at the moment in general, I do have some bad habits. I will eat a very small dinner so that I can eat a chocolate bar… which I know isn’t the right thing to do. I am excited to learn more about macros and about eating the right kinds of nutrients. I am also very excited to learn about what to eat and when to eat in relation to exercise.
I wasn’t sure whether to start The Body Coach plan now as I have quite a few things coming up over the next few months. Meals out, nights out etc. However I figured there will always be these things going on and there will never be the ‘right’ time to start. So I’m just going to go for it. Whilst I would love to stick to the plan 100% I know there will be times when it’ll be tricky. I might have a drink or go out for a meal with friends. However, I am going to try and make sensible choices and healthy decisions when these events occur. Life is for living at the end of the day and I don’t want to deny myself a social life too much.
I’m planning to document my journey as I go along. I will do a few blogs about my experience with The Body Coach although most of my journey will be posted on my mcr_food_bee Instagram account. Now, I am just excited to get started! (Although very apprehensive about not eating chocolate… wish me luck!)
